Job Description
Wintop Industry Zambia Co.Limited, a glass manufacturing company located in Lusaka west is inviting qualified and result oriented individuals to apply for the following positions
1.0 Accountant( 1 position)
Job description:
*Maintain and update the general ledger.
*Record all financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner. *Manage accounts payable and receivable.
*Budgeting and Financial Reporting
*Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
*Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
*Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax. *Maintain accurate employee records for payroll-related purposes. *Ensure compliance with statutory deductions (e.g., NAPSA, NHIMA). Internal Controls and Audits
*Conduct cost analysis and recommend cost saving measures.
Key Qualifications
*Degree in Accounting or a related field.
*Must have professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA.
*A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles. *Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
2.0 Electrician(2 positions)
Job description:
*Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across the manufacturing plant.
*Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and standards.
*Troubleshoot electrical issues and conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
*Work with other maintenance team members to support the ongoing development.
*Monitor electrical system performance and conduct inspections to identify potential faults.
*Participate in project planning for new equipment installations and upgrades.
*Maintain accurate records of electrical work, inspections, and repairs
*Follows safety procedures and adheres to electrical codes
*Correctly interprets technical documents for proper execution of assignments
Key Qualifications and skills
*Certificate or diploma in Electrical engineering.
*At least 2 years experience in industrial or commercial troubleshooting
*Wiring troubleshooting and adherence to electrical codes
3.0 Laboratory technician(1 position)
Job description:
*Perform routine and non-routine sample preparations, tests, and analyse using the appropriate equipment, instrumentation, reagents, standards, and methods.
*Monitor the day-to-day operations of analytical instrumentation and its impact on results and equipment.
*Responsible for ensuring analytical results are communicated per internal protocols.
*Prepare samples for testing using various laboratory equipment.
*Maintain all laboratory records.
*Comply with the correct procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations.
*Conduct laboratory tests, analyze results, and document all findings.
*Stay informed about industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
*Document all activities, and results and report back to management.
*Clean and sterilize equipment and work area.
*Classify and label samples.
*Undertake basic administrative tasks such as filing.
Key Qualifications and skills:
*Degree in Pure chemistry, or a relevant field.
*A minimum of 3 year’s experience in a similar role.
*Good understanding of laboratory information systems and automated laboratory equipment.
*A critical thinker with strong attention to detail.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4.0 Stores supervisor(1 position)
Job Description:
* Supervise a team of stores staff, ensuring efficient and effective day-to-day operations.
*Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
*Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock checks to maintain accurate records.
*Ensures that stock is issued as per the requirements.
*Administers and actions monthly & other stock counts
*Implement and enforce proper inventory management procedures, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
*Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the stores, adhering to health and safety regulations.
*ensures that all Company Health & Safety policies and procedures are maintained.
*Responsible for monitoring the returns process and finalizing all credit notes
Key Qualifications and skills:
*Diploma in Stores Management or Equivalent
*Proven three (3) years of work experience as a Stores Supervisor
*Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite.
*Strong leadership and team management abilities.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5.0 Purchasing specialist(1 position)
Job Description:
*Develop purchasing strategies and finding recycled glasses resources to support organizational objectives.
*Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure favourable terms and compliance with company policies.
*Track and manage budgets and expenditure related to purchasing.
*Analyse purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvement.
*Prepare regular reports on purchasing activity.
*Recommend alternative materials or methods based on knowledge of market availability
Key Qualifications and skills:
*Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or a related field.
*Proven experience 2 years as a purchasing specialist, or similar role.
*Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
*High level of integrity and professionalism, with attention to detail and analytical skills
